This is where recreational axe throwing activity becomes a serious, competitive worldwide sport. By competing in leagues and tournaments, players have the chance to find themselves on ESPN competing against the best axe throwers in the world. 

Not ready for ESPN? Settle in and compete knowing that you’re part of an international sport that’s not all competition and business. The axe throwing community is approachable, friendly, and built on comradery.

WATL League

Starts April 11, 2024

This is a sanctioned World Axe Throwing League (WATL). Hatchet, Duals, and Big Axe. We will follow The WATL rules, so please be familiar with the requirements and gameplay as posted in the the official rules. 

We will throw 4 matches per league day for each discipline. Weeks 1-7 are head-to-head matches. Week 8 is the championship tournament to crown the league champion. 

Schedule:

  • We will run WATL every other Thursday starting on January 11.
  • League nights will be January 11, January 23, February 6, February 20, 2024.
  • Each league night, we will throw 2 weeks worth of matches (8 matches total). 

Time:

  • Throwing starts 7pm. 
  • Venue is open at 6pm for warmup. 

Pricing: 

  • $110 for first discipline
  • additional disciplines will be +$75
